What does the future hold for the ever-evolving conferencing industry? 2024 has been a great year for Boom with many exciting new product developments fuelling a major sales surge.
Co-founder, Holli Hulett, gives an insight into what next year holds for us…..
The video conferencing arena is set to see some exciting new developments next year – providing greater user experiences, more engagement and AI impact.
But for us it’s all about finding the sweet spot between sophisticated technology and ease of use.
AI functionality, with software to transcribe calls and optimise productivity is available now. For us on the hardware side there’s auto tracking technology for example. But we also recognise not all customers want this.
At one end of the spectrum there’s propriety room-based systems that require more IT support and security focus. In a world of hybrid work there’s tablets and laptops without good quality cameras.
Our focus is on the sweet spot in between where you can have the best of both worlds;
AI intelligent end points that can still be tied into a plug-and-play, easy-to-use solution.
Next year there’s going to be more AI-embedded hardware with better tracking cameras, smarter algorithms and better noise cancelling microphones. It’s important they don’t require a lot of training, support and maintenance though.
Overall it’s about raising the game and creating more natural end user experiences in an ever evolving hybrid world, with seamless collaboration to deliver meeting equity wherever people are based. 2025 will see another significant step forward.
