Fast-growing video conferencing manufacturer Boom Collaboration has extended its global reach to India after clinching a major new distribution deal.

Boom has joined forces with AV supply specialist Green Sources to offer its full hardware portfolio of cameras, audio and connectivity to a potential audience of millions of new customers.

Green Sources has offices across the country in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad. It boasts almost 15 years industry expertise and works with around 700 reseller partners – in a country with 1.4 billion inhabitants.

Both parties say they are looking to forge a productive partnership which will help satisfy growing demand for UC solutions across the corporate, education, healthcare, hospitality and government sectors.

Hailing

Boom Collaboration was formed in 2020 by founders Fredrik Hörnkvist and Holli Hulett. The Texas-based business has quickly developed an extensive conferencing portfolio and operates in over 30 countries after a successful expansion programme over the last 18 months.

Hörnkvist is hailing its latest success as another major step forward. “Boom now operates in all four corners of the world and Green Sources’ pan-Indian presence provides us with access to a fast-growing and very important target audience.”

Hulett added: “We cover every meeting space from small personal use to the biggest boardrooms. New innovations such as our HALO videobar with expandable audio, plus our MAGNA Pro high performance 4K PTZ camera will spearhead Indian activities, alongside our compact UNO complete conferencing system.”

Established in 2009, Green Sources distributes more than 15 brands and has almost 50 members of staff. Its mission is to create a positive impact in every individual’s life by getting the right technology to their doorstep.

“India's AV market is growing strongly and consistently along with the country’s economy. Boom is a powerful new addition which fits well into our portfolio,” confirmed Swadesh Khetawat, Managing Director, Green Sources.

He added: “The market for UC products has considerably increased post Covid and Boom can help us pour more fuel onto the fire. They offer value for money and simple plug and play, user-friendly products which support BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting).

“Boom ticks every box we’re looking for and we are confident this new partnership will be a resounding success; very much welcomed by our nationwide network of resellers.”
