Video conferencing manufacturer, Boom Collaboration, is reporting a 24% annual revenue rise, as its ethos to deliver any device, on any platform across any room, gains further momentum.
Formed in 2020, Boom has developed a growing global footprint, spanning hardware solutions for all types of meeting environments. The Texas-based company is headed by founders Fredrik Hörnkvist and Holli Hulett and now operates in almost 40 countries, where orders accelerated by almost a quarter during the last 12 months (Spring to Spring).
A strong Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) strategy fuelled significant sales growth, with a device leaving one of its four worldwide logistics hubs, on average every minute of each working day.
Moving forward
Boom’s platform agnostic portfolio encompasses videobars with expandable audio, high performance ePTZ cameras plus a one-cable connection hub and multi-camera mixing desk controller. Complete ‘meeting room in a box’ kits are set to further ignite sales success throughout 2025 – with recent new distribution partnerships spanning North America and Scandinavia, extending Boom’s global reach.
“This industry moves fast, and we move with it,” explained Hörnkvist. “Our growth comes from listening to customers, understanding what’s missing and delivering solutions that make their lives easier – quickly. That’s who we are, and that’s who we’ll continue to be.”
He highlighted: “The key to a great meeting experience is simple: intuitive, reliable and powerful equipment that just works. Take our ZYGO one-cable connection hub – it streamlines setups and integrates seamlessly, cutting out the complexity. High-quality 4K cameras and HD audio ensure crystal-clear communication, while plug-and-play connectivity removes headaches. And because our devices work across all platforms, customers aren’t locked into one ecosystem.
“Our relationships are only getting stronger, and our global growth is just getting started. We’re committed to delivering BYOM solutions that work on any device, any platform, in any room.”
Game-changer
Companies have different needs, and the balance between BYOM and in-room systems keeps shifting, according to Hulett. “But right now, BYOM is winning, and for good reason. It’s flexible, cost-effective, and a game-changer for SMBs, who outnumber big enterprises by about 1000 to 1. That’s a massive opportunity for resellers.”
She emphasized: “More platform choices mean more freedom. It’s like being a kid in a candy store – you don’t just grab one flavor. You want options, and that’s exactly what we’re delivering.
“We have big plans ahead, but at the core, we’ll always be the friendly face of video conferencing – focused on personal connections and long-term partnerships with our distributors.”
